It’s Alphabetics
October 2013
We are pleased to announce that ALPHABETICS* version 2.0 is now available on the AppStore and Google Play.
This upgrade includes improvements based on feedback from teachers who participated in a professional development course led by Dr. Elaine Cheesman at Fairleigh Dickinson University this past August. A big thanks goes out to Dr. Cheesman and those who participated in making ALPHABETICS a better app for teachers and tutors.
Some of these improvements include:
- free choice of letter
- free choice of movement between activities
- solid letter tracing
- voice prompts replaced by less intrusive sound effects
- social network links placed behind Parents Zone for safe navigation
In the meantime, we have worked diligently on our app’s privacy policy and have been accepted as members of Know What’s Inside (KWI). You will see the KWI logo on our webpage and other information regarding ALPHABETICS. The KWI logo is a signal to parents that we are serious about our users’ privacy. Know What’s Inside is a partnership between MOMs with apps and ACT.
The next upgrade of ALPHABETICS will include a set of illustrations for the 7-10-year-old target group. We hope to make this option available to players in November. This will be an important step towards making this app attractive for primary school students. Here is a sneak preview.
Upgrade your app ALPHABETICS now. And don’t forget to rate the app and leave a comment for other potential users to see. Thanks for your support!
